First things first:
I will be LIVE on BBC London News at 9.40am tomorrow, Wednesday, 11 August!
BBC 2 News will feature my story at 11.40am on Thursday, 12 August
Can you do it? Yes, I can cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats! The filming for BBC 2 took ABSOLUTE AGES on Sunday. I’ve lost count of how many times I had to cycle down the path you can see behind me. So that we could get the right take. OCD to rival my mother’s.
Same with the interview. Adrian, the Scout Leader had to hold the mike all the time. He looked like he was doing time in the pillory.
Me in the pillory two years ago I am starting my ride on Thursday so mum’s in charge of recording the BBC 2 piece. She finally learnt how to use Sky+ so that we can download it. B-R-A-V-O. beats trying to record it on her phone which was her original plan. What? I hear you say…
Still not as bad as dad NOT booking a hotel in Lands’ End. He FORGOT! and now there’s nothing left, not even a hostel. so we’ll be sleeping in a TENT! he says it will give me something to WRITE ABOUT!
Fundraising update: I’m now on just under £4,400 in donations from 123 supporters (thank you!!). I thought it was less but then Adrian told me about Gift Aid making it much higher.
